The Buying Process

  1. Determine how much you can afford.

  2. At Shepherd Homes we can arrange Independent Financial Advice from our panel of Independent Financial Advisers, who will be able to accurately quote your Mortgage Repayments.

  3. Arrange a Mortgage in principle.

  4. Choose your Shepherd home and reserve.

  5. Instruct a solicitor.

  6. Shepherd Homes can suggest a panel of solicitors, who offer very competitive rates.

  7. Immediately after reservation your Financial Adviser will complete your full Mortgage Application.

  8. Once your Mortgage has been approved, the Lender (ie Mortgage Company) will ask for a Survey Fee.

  9. After Survey the lender will issue your Mortgage Offer (usually 7-21 days after application).

  10. The signing of contracts.

  11. Exchange of contracts, where a date will be agreed for Legal Completion.(moving in day)

  12. Prior to Legal Completion you will have a customer demonstration with the site manager.

  13. Congratulations Legal Completion.

  14. Move in.
